I stayed in BR for LSU, but then headed out to see the world. I lived in southern Africa for a couple of years, California for 4 years, North Carolina for 5 years, and then moved to Northern Virginia where I've been for 25 years. I worked full-time in churches and a Christian non-profit for over 20 years and then transitioned into the world of licensure exams at NCARB 5 years ago. I have 2 daughters in their 20s who grew up here in Arlington and continue to call it home. My parents and sister also live nearby so I haven't gotten down to BR very often. Carter and I met on a development work trip in Guatemala, but came to find out I'd moved into her town and she'd known some of my friends since her childhood. We got married in 2010 and are still enjoying (and exploring) our overlapping churches, groups, interests, family and friends. |

Hi everyone. Decided to update my comments. Today's date is 12/28/2011-I'm married to the love of my life-Paul-will be 32 years this September. We live in Baton Rouge. We have 1 daughter, and 1 granddaughter, who live in Houston. I've worked at Our Lady of the Lake for 34 years, but can't retire based on my years of service, so have to work until I'm 62! Maybe I'll hit Lotto by then. I see some of our class around town, which is always a pleasure. Hope to join everyone on the next gathering. |

Comment: I have lived in southern New Jersey for close to 16 years. I enjoy kayaking and hiking in the beautiful Pine Barrens. I travel at every opportunity and spend a month each summer teaching English in Tokyo. I raised a wonderful son, James(25). He earned a degree in film and lives and works in NYC. My family is still in LA, so I come home a couple times a year. I look forward to seeing everyone at our 30(!) year reunion! |

Comment: Getting adjusted to life back in the real world has not been easy. Luckily things at the half-way house get easier with each passing day. The anger management and AA meetings really help me cope. Hard to believe it's been 30 years , can't wait to see everyone........well, maybe not everyone. You folks know who you are. Am I going to have to go thru a metal detector ? Cheers ! |
